Rob's Prediction: Fulham V Wigan

Wigan hadn't conceded a goal away from home before Newcastle's Shola Ameobi upset that record and in injury time, Newcastle scored a second to mean Wigan left St. James' Park with a point. I hope not to tempt fate, but Wigan's form of late has been decent.

They travel to a Fulham side that is expert in the draw. The record between the two sides suggests a 0-0 draw might be a possibility. Mark Lawrenson has predicted a 2-0 victory for Fulham but I expect this to be a tight game.

Andy Johnson will be determined to make his maek after a difficult time of it and Mauro Boselli will be nipping at the heels for a start. However, I expect Roberto Martinez to start Franco Di Santo and Hugo Rodallega.

Another plus is Wigan could welcome back Gary Caldwell and in time, Steve Gohouri will return so competition for the Centre Back role will be good, which will be a good thing.

As for the game itself, I think this will be a very tight contest and Fulham's record against Wigan at home is decisively mixed. However, I think a draw could be on the cards at Craven Cottage.

ROB'S PREDICTION
================

Fulham are draw specialists and I think this will be a tight game which could end in a draw as I don't believe there's a lot between these two sides.

Fulham 1 Wigan 1

ROB'S OTHER PREDICTIONS
=======================

Arsenal V West Ham: I think that this game will not be so easy for Arsenal. Its a derby game and I expect it to be a fierce, tight contest. Avram Grant's Hammers have done reasonably well of late. However, Arsenal should triumph here, but I just wonder if it might be tighter than what some people might think. 1-0

Blackburn V Chelsea: Blackburn are notoriously difficult to beat at Ewood Park and boast an impressive home record. However, they won't beat Chelsea, I don't think, but I think they're good enough to nick a crucial point. 1-1

Everton V Stoke City: Stoke are a good side under Tony Pulis and Everton are a side who have hit form of late. Stoke City are resilient and I think it will be an exciting game and will end in a stalemate. 1-1

Wolves V Man City: Man City had a bad result at the weekend against Arsenal and will want to reignite their Champions League charge. Its not a good time for Wolves to play Man City. I expect it could be a tough assignment for Wolves. I think it might be an exhibition game. 0-4

Man Utd V Tottenham: I think this could be a very tough assignment for Man Utd - Tottenham are a very good side indeed but I think Man Utd might just shade this encounter at Old Trafford by one goal only, but I think it'll be a battle. 1-0

Aston Villa V Birmingham - Birmingham had a very much needed win against Blackpool last time and they go to Villa Park full of confidence after a nervy Carling Cup victory. However, I think that Villa will beat Birmingham, by one goal. 1-0

Newcastle V Sunderland: What a tasty game this is! Sunderland are a good side and Newcastle are on the receiving end of a 4-0 defeat to Arsenal. However, I think Sunderland are a better team and I think they will leave St. James' Park in stunned silence. 0-2

Bolton V Liverpool: Liverpool got a morale boosting win over Blackburn but it wasn't really convincing. However, Bolton are unbeaten in many games and I can't see Liverpool making much ground at the Reebok to pursue their Champions League aspirations, though that it a massive ask, anyway. 1-1

Blackpool V West Brom: Blackpool have a very poor home record. However, West Brom have done very well indeed and this will be a game which could swing either way, in all honesty. Blackpool need to win at home but I think West Brom will win this by a single goal. 0-1

ROB'S FINAL THOUGHT
===================

Lets hope James McCarthy recovers soon and that Wigan and Huddersfield emerge triumphant from this weekend's games! See you next time!

I am moderately confident for a point but with way we folded against newcastle a game we should have put to bed. I think we will get a point at best. 1-1 for me.
