Vote For Your Latics Man of the Match

Vote For Your Latics Man of the Match

Wigan Athletic put in a very good performance in last nights 1-1 draw against Liverpool at the DW Stadium, there were some great performances throughout the team.

Both full backs had good games, especially going forward, Ronnie Stam in particular made some fantastic deliveries into the Liverpool box with balls of real quality, it was his cross that led to Hugo`s goal after Reina had parried his cross out to our Colombian hitman.

Momo Diame had a very good game both in stifling Liverpool attacks and then getting forward himself supporting our forwards, he played with a lot of energy and at a high tempo, Tom Cleverley showed a touch of class and why he is so highly rated at Old Trafford, he has quick feet, good vision and an excellent football brain, can we not keep him?

Both Hugo and Charlie were good last night, N`Zogbia frightened Liverpool to death every time he was on the ball and they had three men around him trying to smother him whilst Hugo got the all important goal and he kept their two centre backs busy all night.

For me though our man of the match was Hendry Thomas, very unspectacular but he did a great job, sat in front of Caldwell and Alcaraz he cut out most of what Liverpool had to offer, for a large part of the game he played it simple and had a solid performance from start to finish.

Yep Thomas for me but who would be your choice of man of the match, to vote simply access the poll on the right side of this page, select your option and then hit the submit button, it`s that easy.

Bang on Barry... He got my vote as we were walking out last night, and they announced N'Zogbia as the man of the match, I thought You can't really argue, but it's another case of the attacking players taking preference for the award. Hendry was fantastic last night.
