Moses Set For Old Trafford Start

Moses Set For Old Trafford Start

Wigan Athletic goal hero from the weekend win against West Brom, Victor Moses, could be all set for a place in the starting eleven when Latics take to the field in their next Premier League game away at Old Trafford on Saturday against Manchester United.

With Tom Cleverley not allowed to play due to the conditions of his loan deal there will be a place vacant in the midfield, Momo Diame, Hendry Thomas and Charles N`Zogbia look definite starters, Jordi Gomez is enjoying a run in the team at the moment so young Moses could see himself in line for his first start since the opening day game against Blackpool.

Of course there are several permutations that Martinez could do, Stam in midfield with Figueroa in at left back and Gohouri moving across to right back, drop Rodallega back and start with Di Santo up front, Boyce could be back, but whatever the thinking behind his formation, line-up and tactics it will be very difficult to leave Moses out of the first eleven.

The England under 21 striker made a great impact on Saturday, he played with pace, power and a directness that frightened the West Brom defence to bits and looking forward to next Saturday Moses says: "It`s up to the gaffer but, as I`ve always said, I just want to get out there on the pitch and play my football"

"There are a lot of games to come and I am just keen to keep learning and improving.

"I was just happy to be able to come on and score a goal, and hopefully it`ll be hard for him to leave me out.

"I just want to get at the full-back as soon as I get the ball, threaten him and make him nervous.

"Like I said, it`s his call, it`s not up to me to be saying this and that. I`ll leave it to him to make the right decision."
