Moses Delighted To Have Chosen Wigan

Wigan Athletic man of the moment Victor Moses is delighted to have got on the score sheet on Saturday, his 70th minute strike not only secured the three points for the Latics but it also got the sports writers coming up with some less than original headlines.

Moses though is a lad with his feet firmly on the ground and he is just pleased to have gotten his chance after a bout on the bench but he is still positive he made the right choice signing for the Latics even though his appearances have been limited.

Speaking to the press the England under 21 star says that, ironically, there was interest in him from West Brom last season but Wigan was the only place he was going to leave Crystal Palace for.

Speaking to the press Moses said: "I`ve waited for this for a long time. It feels good.

"I knew there was some interest there [from West Brom] but I just had a feeling about Wigan. I wanted to join them from day one. Roberto Di Matteo is a good manager, but it never got to the stage where we had talks.

"Now it feels like I made the right decision and hopefully we can push on from here."

With Latics set to face Manchester United at the weekend, Moses is quietly confident that there may be just a chance that there could be small shock on the cards, Moses concluded: "We know it`ll be difficult, but United haven`t been at their best so maybe we could get something."
