Antolin Alcaraz Voted Latics Man of the Match

Wigan Athletic defender Antolin Alcaraz was voted the Latics man of the match in last weekends win over West Brom.

The Paraguay international had a great game and was coolness personified throughout the match, his ability to read the game meant he hardly had a tackle to make and just appeared to take the ball away from his opponents.

On two occasions Alcaraz carried the ball masterfully out of defence and set up attacks and he just oozed class all afternoon, when his central defensive partner Gary Caldwell had to leave the pitch on 17 minutes with a thigh strain Alcaraz took up the mantle of captain and led the rest of the team by example.

A great performance from an excellent player, well deserved man of the match award
