Latics Duo Help Scots To Victory

Latics Duo Help Scots To Victory

Wigan Athletic players Steven Caldwell and James McArthur both featured for Scotland tonight in their 3-0 friendly victory over the Faroe Islands at Aberdeen`s Pittodrie Stadium

James McArthur made his first international appearance when he replaced Charlie Adam in the 2nd half of the game, whilst Steven Caldwell played the full 90 minutes and, following the substitution of Darren Fletcher, Caldwell took the skippers arm band, he also had an assist in Scotland`s first goal flicking on a Charlie Adam corner for Danny Wilson to strike home.

A great honour for both Caldwell and McArthur and also for the Latics.
