Tom Cleverley Sits on the Fence

Wigan Athletic loan player Tom Cleverley is sitting firmly on the fence ahead of this weekends clash against his parent club Manchester United which he is ineligible to feature in.

The 21 year old midfield player is disappointed to be sitting out game time following his breakthrough into the Latics starting eleven where he has been showing some sparkling form.

With good performances against both Liverpool and West Brom in the past seven days the England under 21 international has forced his way into the Latics first team and was really finding his feet in the Premier League, so this is a break that he could have done without.

Speaking to the press Cleverley says he will be at Old Trafford in his Wigan Athletic tracksuit but admits that the best result as far as he is concerned would possibly be a draw.

Cleverley said: "It is disappointing to be missing out at the weekend having broken into the team and helped us gain a couple of good results recently"

"I`ll be at the game in my Wigan tracksuit and maybe I`ll be sitting on the fence hoping for a draw.

"We ground out a win against West Brom.

"It wasn`t the prettiest of performances and it certainly wasn`t as good as against Liverpool but we did get the win."
