Hendry Thomas, Latics Man of the Match

Hendry Thomas, Latics Man of the Match

Wigan Athletic defensive midfield man Hendry Thomas has been voted the Vital Latics man of the match for his superb performance in Saturday`s unfortunate loss at Old Trafford against Manchester United.

The Honduras international had a game that was full of dogged determination and strength has he provided cover for the back four in what at times was a real backs to the wall performance from the Latics, with the loss of Alcaraz and Rodallega through red cards with more than 30 minutes of the game remaining it was like a game of attack and defence and the Latics did exceptionally well to keep the score down to two.

For the record the voting was:

Hendry Thomas - 54%
Charles N`Zogbia - 16%
Ali Al-Habsi - 13%

The new poll is now available on the right side of this page, to participate in the vote, simply access the poll on the right side of this page, select your option and hit the submit button, it`s that easy.

Wigan 1-2 Bradford Match Report

Latics dropped to a deserved 1-2 defeat at the hands of Bradford, our first loss at home in the league since March. It was an off-day, defence looked shaky from the off and once Nick Powell went off injured, we never really threatened to score. We are back at the DW on Tuesday against Doncaster Rovers, an opportunity to get back on track.

Paul Cook named an unchanged side from our last league game, with Michael Jacobs returning to the starting line-up.
