Latics Reserves 3-0 Bolton Reserves

Wigan Athletic reserves beat Bolton Wanderers reserves yesterday (Tuesday) to go back joint top of the reserves league alongside Newcastle United reserves.

Goals from Callum McManaman, Joe Holt and Adam Buxton gave the points to Graham Barrows young charges and Mike Pollitt made a successful return to action between the posts following an elbow operation.

A thoroughly delighted coach Graham Barrow said: 'It was a great reaction after the defeat they suffered last week, which shows there's real character in the side, and that they're starting to gel together really well as a team.'

Latics: Pollitt, Buxton, Golobart, Robinson, Mustoe, Breeze, Lacine, Sunday (Rugg 60), Holt McManaman (Serano 77), Redmond (Morris 70)
