Lawro Predicts - Latics v Stoke

Former Liverpool defender and current Match of the Day pundit Mark 'Lawro` Lawrenson has done his weekly round of predictions for the BBC and he is predicting that Saturday`s Premier League game between Wigan Athletic and Stoke City at the DW Stadium will end in an away win for the Potters, let`s see what his reasons are:

Wigan v Stoke

Stoke are on a run of four games unbeaten and they were better than Manchester City last week when they earned a 1-1 draw. Although they scored in the last minute, they had the better opportunities.

Wigan, meanwhile, rolled over too easily at West Ham last weekend and are now without the injured Victor Moses. They still have the propensity to win a game when you do not expect it, but I do not think it will be at the DW Stadium this weekend.

Prediction: 1-2

Well I have to stay optimistic, Alcaraz is back and could be partnered by Gary Caldwell in the centre of the defence, there is a chance that Mauro Boselli may have recovered from his knee injury sustained at Arsenal on Tuesday and Tom Cleverley will definitely be starting, Stoke don`t like playing the Latics so I will go 2-1 Wigan win
