Latics Set For Jay Emmanuel-Thomas Loan

Latics Set For Jay Emmanuel-Thomas Loan

Wigan Athletic are lining up a deal to take striker Jay Emmanuel-Thomas on loan from Arsenal for the rest of the season when the window opens in 25 days time.

The Latics are struggling with a crisis in the forward line, Moses and Di Santo both long term absentees with injuries, this has been highlighted recently with Rodallega facing three games out with suspension, leaving Boselli the only available option and he is carrying a knock.

If JET as he his known does arrive then it looks like Tom Cleverley will be heading back to Old Trafford as the Latics are only allowed two loan deals with Premier League clubs at anyone time

This would be a good deal for both clubs. JET could use some game time, and Wigan could use a player like him. He's a very promising young man. Big and powerful, he's got plenty of strings to his bow!

Wigan 1-2 Bradford Match Report

Latics dropped to a deserved 1-2 defeat at the hands of Bradford, our first loss at home in the league since March. It was an off-day, defence looked shaky from the off and once Nick Powell went off injured, we never really threatened to score. We are back at the DW on Tuesday against Doncaster Rovers, an opportunity to get back on track.

Paul Cook named an unchanged side from our last league game, with Michael Jacobs returning to the starting line-up.
