Wigan Athletic Progress in FA Youth Cup

Wigan Athletic Youth Team are through to the 4th round of the FA Youth Cup after they beat Stoke City 3-0 at the DW Stadium.

Goals from Michael Girvan, Ryan Astles and Ryan Watson gave the Latics youngsters a comfortable win and the team gave a solid performance with Sean Myler, who played left midfield having the stand out game.

Girvan opened the scoring for the Latics on six minutes after the Stoke keeper fumbled a free kick which was crossed into the box, the ball dropped at the defenders feet and he poked the ball home.
