Latics Showing Interest In Leeds Winger

Wigan Athletic are being linked with a move for Leeds United midfielder Bradley Johnson following revelations that the former Northampton Town player rejected the latest and last offer on a new deal at Elland Road and as a consequence he`s been placed on the transfer list.

Johnson, who is out of contract in the summer has been excellent on the left side of midfield for the Championship club this season, making 16 appearances and scoring 3 goals, but Leeds are determined to recoup some of the £250,000 they paid Northampton in 2008.

The 23 year old has attracted the interest of a host of clubs since Leeds placed him on the transfer list with Blackpool, Stoke, Bolton and Rangers all showing interest, with Tom Cleverley looking likely to return to Manchester United in January, Latics boss Roberto Martinez is looking for options to bring in as a replacement.

might be worth taking a chance with him

Honestly, I am shocked by the amount of Premiership clubs being linked with him. He's an average Championship player at best. Please come in with an offer in January because we will snatch the hands off of anyone daft enough to part with their money.

hope wigan is good for him ... because he's not wanted here

leeds fans would hardly know what a premiership player looks like now as they have been away that long

Not him, but a good, clean left midfielder wouldn't go amiss.
