Tom Cleverley Looks Forward To Boxing With Wolves

Wigan Athletic midfield man Tom Cleverley is fit to face Wolves in the bottom of the table clash on Boxing Day and the England under 21 international is raring to go having recovered from his rib injury.

Cleverley says that the game is a real six pointer, Wolves are just one point and one place below the Latics in the Premier League table, also with it being Boxing Day, the young midfielder explains, there is something special added to the tie, a little bit of extra spice.

Speaking to Wigan Evening Post Cleverley said: "Like the old saying goes, it`s a massive six-pointer and it`ll make all of our Christmases better if we can get three points"

"We look at every game as a potential three points, and we`ll be going there with three points in mind and we`re very capable of coming away with that.

"I`m expecting a really physical game - they play at a high tempo, and with it being Boxing Day there is something extra, a little bit special, attached to it.

"We just have to make sure we`re a match for them physically, man for man, and then hopefully the better football team will prevail which we hope is us."
