Vote For Latics Man of the Match

Wigan Athletic turned in a somewhat lacklustre performance yesterday as they went down to a 1-0 home loss to Newcastle United.

Not too many of the Latics emerged with much credit, James McArthur, who only came on at half time was full of energy but for me Tom Cleverley was the standout home player.

Cleverley caused the most problems for the Newcastle defence, he played with intent for 90 minutes and gave his all in what appeared to be a lost cause. So Tom Cleverley for me, but did anyone catch your eye?

Poor performance by all but Cleverley best of a bad bunch IMO

Latics have an uncanny knack of making ordinary teams look world-beaters. Yesterday they looked like a Championship side being let by a Championship management trio. You hve to feel sorry for Tom Cleverley though, he runs his tripe out ever game while the likes of Gomes and Diame seem to think it is ok to stroll their way through. Can anybody on here really see us in the Prem next season? Surely there are not three worse sides than us.

Quite simply there was no man of the match. It was a pitiful performance, aside from a few bright sparks. Worst game of football I've seen in a long time. N'Zogbia's absence really brought it home how much we rely on him.
