Wigan Athletic - Transfer Tittle-Tattle

Wigan Athletic havent seen much movement in or out during this transfer window, but as the end nears rumours are starting to get revved up.

The Sun is reporting that Sunderland boss Steve Bruce is set to make an improved bid for Charles N`Zogbia, increasing their previous tempter of 8 million to a mind blowing 9 million. Now it was only yesterday that Latics owner Dave Whelan said 'we haven't received any offers at this stage.`

Either The Sun is trying to spend Sunderland`s new found money or Brucie is up to his old tricks again, to think he had a go at Villa, tut, tut, tut.

Sunderland are also linked with a move for Hugo Rodallega according to the Daily Express, they need a striker to fill Darren Bents boots, this looks like a none starter and it appears that Stoke`s Ricardo Fuller is heading to the Stadium of Light.

On the incoming side the Express is linking us with a move for Grant Leadbitter at Ipswich, the former Sunderland man has enjoyed success at Portman Road but another midfielder? I think not.

Latics CEO Jonathan Jackson says that they are working to bring a striker to the club, no names mentioned, Humberto Suazo and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas were linked but with Arsenal youngster Emmanuel-Thomas going to Cardiff, here`s hoping that the bull that is Suazo is who we are working on.

WWe need someone bringing in to freshed the place up a little, Suazo would be a good capture if we can get him
