Feindouno On Trial With The Latics

Ex Bordeaux and St, Etienne star Pascal Feindouno is set to start a weeks trial with Wigan Athletic hoping to impress enough to win a contract.

The 29 year old Guinea international is currently a free agent after terminating his deal with Qatari side Al-Saad who he joined from St. Etienne in a £7 million deal in 2008.

Feindouno enjoyed a successful career in France and he made a name for himself at both Bordeaux, 94 games, 10 goals, and St. Etienne, 135 games, 33 goals. Not bad scoring ratio for a wide player.

He attracted the interest of Premier League clubs and Liverpool were reportedly ready to make a bid before Al-Saad stepped in.

Speaking to skysports.com about his Latics trial Feindouno said: 'I am very well and hopefully I'll convince a club in the Premier League to offer me a contract'

'I'm desperate to play here and that's why I'm here.'

with a free agent its kind of a safe bet

Poor Daniel De Ridder, never gets a chance in Premiership and we are looking at a very similar player as an alternative to warm the bench!
