Lawro Predicts - West Brom v Latics

Former Liverpool defender and current Match of the Day pundit Mark 'Lawro` Lawrenson has done his round of predictions for the BBC and he is predicting that Tuesday`s Premier League clash between West Bromwich Albion and Wigan Athletic at the Hawthorns will end in a home win for the Baggies, let`s see what his reasons are:

This is an interesting one, because both these sides badly need a win. Wigan actually played quite well against Bolton in the Cup after losing at home to Aston Villa but the big reason I am going for a West Brom victory is that they did not play at the weekend.

The Baggies will also know that, if they are going to stay up, they need to beat teams like Wigan at home.

Prediction: 2-1

Hmm, so because West Brom know that they have to beat teams like the Latics they will? Doesn`t quite work like that Lawro, I think it will be tight but I see the Latics returning up the M6 with the 3 points. 2-1 Latics win

Has Lawro ever picked us to win a game?
worbo
He did at the beginning of the season against Blackpool and I'm pretty sure he has done since, but not often worbo. However, I hope he's doomed WBA with that prediction. I see us winning 0-1.

If the level of effort is maintained then all things are possible. If Latics slip back to their old ways, then we won't win here. We are in a real battle to survive now.

So the big positive of the game, then, was that we did better than Lawro predicted.
