Vote For Your Latics Man of the Match v Rovers

Wigan Athletic and Blackburn Rovers played out a thrilling game yesterday, the Latics taking the points with a 4-3 victory over their Lancashire neighbours.

There were some excellent performances for the Latics, Antolin Alcaraz was very good at the heart of the defence, providing a steadying influence and some much needed organisation.

All the midfield played well, battling for every ball, supporting the attack and getting back to defend on what must have been an energy sapping pitch, Charles N`Zogbia and Victor Moses caused problems with their pace and skill, whilst Hugo Rodallega scored a goal poachers goal at just the right stage of the match to give the Latics the ascendancy.

For me though James McCarthy was simply magnificent, two goals, none stop running, I`m sure you could see his heart pumping in his chest he put that much effort into the game, this lad is the real deal and having had him out for so long it`s no wonder we have been struggling, great to have him back and a fantastic display of box to box midfield play, yep he is 100% my man of the match.

To vote for McCarthy (could you really choose anyone else?), simply access the poll on the right side of this page, select your option (McCarthy), then hit the submit button, it`s that easy.
