Ali Al-Habsi Player of the Month for January

Wigan Athletic goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi has been voted the Latics player of the month for January by pollsters on Vital Wigan, overwhelmingly so.

The Oman international has been in scintillating form since coming into the side back in August and his level of consistency is a testament to his abilities and character.

Ali looks like he truly loves playing for the Latics and hopefully a deal can be thrashed out with Bolton to sign him on a permanent contract. He is a fans favourite and must be odds on to collect the Player of the Season award.

The voting for the January player of the month poll was:

Ali Al-Habsi - 91%
Callum McManaman - 3%
Charles N`Zogbia - 3%
