Chris Kirkland Moves To Cardiff City On Loan

Wigan Athletic keeper Chris Kirkland has joined Championship side Cardiff City on loan until the end of the season.

This will be Kirklands second loan spell, he spent time with Leicester in December but that loan move was cut short through injury.

The big keeper is going to Cardiff as cover for reserve keeper Tom Heaton due to the Bluebirds number one David Marshall being out injured for the rest of the season.

With Ali Al-Habsi in the starting line-up and Mike Pollitt on the bench, Kirkland has been limited to cameo appearances this season having started just three games.
