Martinez - Together We Will Survive

Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez has called upon the Latics fans to create an intimidating environment at the DW Stadium for the next four home games that are set to define the season.

Birmingham and Spurs are next up at the DW and Martinez is hoping that the clubs fans rally round the team and show to the kind of support that can put some fear into the opposition. Acknowledging that the Latics might be the favourites to go down in the eyes of the experts, the boss reckons that together, the supporters and the team, we can upset those opinions and come through to win the day.

Speaking to the Latics official site Martinez said: 'We have two home fixtures coming up at our DW Stadium now, we know how important they are and we can affect those games with the environment we create.

'We have to make it an intimidating place to come to and show how desperate we are for those points.

'Throughout our club's history we've always stuck together and become stronger.

'We love to beat the odds and upset the normal opinions in the game, and we'll make to continue the fantastic story of Wigan Athletic with another great challenge ahead of us.'

Agreed! Some Martinez bashers think he's arrogant. I think its common sense.
