Latics Determined To Stay In Premier League

Latics Determined To Stay In Premier League

Wigan Athletic owner Dave Whelan has stated that although he believes the Latics will avoid relegation, if the worst did happen then the fight would be doubled to come straight back up.

Speaking to the Wigan Evening Post, Whelan says that the Latics have defied the odds and the experts by maintaining their Premier League status for six consecutive seasons and they aren`t going to give it up easily.

Whelan said: "When we won promotion, we were given one season to stay up, we`ve been in the Premier League for six seasons now, and we`re still not down.

"And I can promise you that there is not one man at the club who believes we are going down.

"Even if the worst happened and we did go down, the determination would be doubled to come straight back up again."

We've got games coming up where we've got tremendous records at.

The bookies are never far wrong. Even Maurice Lindsay have them as odds on to go down. Not sure Roberto even deserves to keep them up.
