Where Are They Now - Olivier Kapo

Former Wigan Athletic player Olivier Kapo, who left both the Latics and Celtic by having his contract terminated early, is trying his luck in the Middle East.

Hardly setting the northwest alight with his skill, never say die attitude and alluring character it was no surprise that Olivier Kapo never really made any impact at the Latics, the only surprise being the fact he actually made 20 appearances in his 2 years at the club.

The former France international left the Latics at the end of last season and then signed on with Celtic in November after struggling for 4 months to find a club, but things didn`t work out at the Scottish giants and back in February the 30 year old signed a 5 month contract with Qatari club Al-Alhi who currently sit bottom of the Qatar Stars League.

On Thursday of last week Kapo made something of an impact at his new club when he scored two goals in a 3-1 win over Qatar SC, giving Al-Ahli only their second win of the season.

Ovlier Kapo isn`t the only ex-Latic enjoying the sunshine in the Middle East of course, former skipper Mario Melchiot is also in Qatar, playing for Umm Salal who are doing slightly better than Kapo`s Al-Alhi.
