Vote For Your Latics Man Of The Match v Brum

Vote For Your Latics Man Of The Match v Brum

Wigan Athletic overcame Birmingham City yesterday at the DW Stadium to claim the three points in what was a must win game for the Latics.

After a bit of a nervy start that saw us fall behind, the players got their game going and there was some really good performances, Maynor Figueroa had a great second half that saw him score what proved to be the winning goal, whilst Emmerson Boyce set up the first goal with a fantastic cross after getting on the end of a superb Ben Watson pass.

Moses and N`Zogbia were full of running all afternoon and caused problems either down the flanks or playing the supporting role just behind the main striker, Tom Cleverley was back to his best and his goal was a real sniffers, can we not keep him?

Both Rodallega and Sammon did well when they came on but for me the man of the match yesterday, without any doubt was Ben Watson.

The midfield man was right on top of his game, he looked hungry for the ball, he linked the play between the defence and midfield and the midfield and attack superbly, his pass that set Boyce up for Cleverley`s goal was top class, he just had a great game.

So Ben Watson for me but who was your man of the match yesterday, to take part in the vote simply access the poll on the right side of this page, select your option and then hit the submit button, it`s that easy

Tough one... plenty of candidates, voted Boycey, on the grounds that he's been missed and slotted right back in. (Pardon the pun!)

No you can't keep Cleverley, we need his technical football and goals. Wel done with your win btw ;)

Boycey for me, although there were many candidates. he just seemed to lift the team and had a real fire in his belly for the win.

watson's free kicks and corners are dreadful, someone needs to take the ball off him when we get them! well done though lads great second half performance

I'm not sure that his free kicks were dreadful. If we had someone who can get to the ball and head it we could have had 6 on Saturday. It's what he does around the pitch both in attack and defense that impresses me. Watson was my MOM.
