Lawro Predicts - Latics v Spurs

Lawro Predicts - Latics v Spurs

Former Liverpool defender and current Match of the Day pundit Mark 'Lawro` Lawrenson has done his weekly round of predictions for the BBC and he is predicting that Saturday`s Premier League clash between Wigan Athletic and Tottenham Hotspur at the DW Stadium will end in an away win for Spurs, let`s see what his reasons are:

Wigan v Spurs

This is a very difficult one for Spurs manager Harry Redknapp to approach because his men have such a massive match on Tuesday to look forward to with their Champions League quarter-final against Real Madrid. I would suspect that will mean that anyone with a slight niggle will not play at the DW Stadium on Saturday.

I have been saying all season that, with Wigan, you just never know what you are going to get. The problem the Latics have is that they might have a good spell in games but that seems to be outweighed by a bad spell when they concede far too easily.

Prediction: 1-2

Come on Lawro, we have been quite good of late, 1-1 draw for me.

If any team is going to win I fancy us, but I feel it'll be a 1-1

Our strikers need to start scoring and its hopefully only a matter of time before the cork pops out of the bottle. Both teams need a win and a draw would be a good result for you but not enough for us. Should be an open game.

I think we'l do them, there minds will be on tuesday. Just hope figueroa isnt too knackered if he plays from all his travelling. + does anyone remember lawrencen predicting anything other than a wigan loss? I cant, and tbh, if he knew that much about football he'd be a manager just like the rest of the pundits

The action(?) from yesterday's game at the DW Stadium between Wigan Athletic and Nottingham Forest which ended goalless:

Report - Latics 0 Forest 0 - What A Shocker

Thirteen games to save our Championship status, first up a home game against Nottingham Forest who are on a shocking run of form, conceded 10 goals in their last three matches, three of their first choice defenders missing through injury, they had lost 11 of their 16 away games this season with a -16 goal difference on the road and sat just six points above us in the table, surely a game that we would set out to win.

Checking the team selection I felt slightly optimistic but slightly conf
