Whelan - 'They're Tough Games, But Winnable'

Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan speaking after the goalless draw with Spurs last weekend says that the Latics have a good chance of staying up this season

Commenting on the fact that the team is playing well the Latics owner reckons that after the Chelsea game the rest are all winnable. Next up after the visit to Stamford Bridge are away trips to Blackpool and Sunderland, positive results from those two games and its all to play for.

Speaking to Latics Player Whelan said: "Its going to be tough, but we`ve just got to win"

"Next up is Chelsea which is a very tough match but after that I think every game is winnable"

"The way the boys are playing we`ve got a good chance"

"Anyone in the bottom ten can go down, we`re still in there and we`re fighting"
