Gary Caldwell Fit To Get His Teeth Into Chelsea

Wigan Athletic skipper Gary Caldwell has declared himself fit to face Chelsea tomorrow, despite requiring some emergency dental surgery following a clash with Spurs striker Roman Pavlyuchenko in last weekends 0-0 draw at the DW Stadium.

Caldwell, who was sent off in the corresponding fixture last season, says that despite having stitches in his lip and three teeth straightened he is ready to face Chelsea.

Speaking to the clubs official website the Latics skipper said: 'It's (mouth injury) cleared up a lot after last weekend, the club Doctor had to put some stitches in my lip and it was a bit sore.

'During the week I've had my teeth straightened and there's still a bit of pain but not enough to stop me playing this weekend."
