'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Ali Al-Habsi - 'This Is Now My Club'

Wigan Athletic goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi has dropped the biggest hint yet that he would be happy staying at the Latics when his loan period from local rivals Bolton Wanderers comes to an end in four games time.

Al-Habsi was used as back-up to Jussi Jaaskelainen at Bolton and in four years he made just 10 appearances, now he has been given the chance to play regular first team football, Al-Habsi has flourished into one of the Premier Leagues top keepers.

Speaking to BBC Manchester the Oman international says that although he is officially a Bolton player the Latics are his club, the fans are fantastic and that he is really enjoying himself.

Speaking to the BBC Ali Al-Habsi said: 'I'm really enjoying myself here. The club, the fans, they love me here and I give everything for this football club'

'Since I've come here I promised I would give 100%.

'Of course I am with Bolton but this is now my club. It is brilliant to play week after week and give something to the fantastic fans here.'

Ali, happy to be a Wiganer
