Rob's Prediction: Wigan V Everton

Wigan Athletic face Everton FC, who despite their loss at Old Trafford, will provide a stern test for Wigan and their survival hopes, though with just three games left after this one, there is still time, but unfortunately, time is still fast running out for Roberto Martinez's men, which is a great shame.

Having taken the lead through Mohamed Diame with a superb strike at the Stadium Of Light, Wigan for some reason capitulated in the face of their opposition, falling to a 4-2 defeat. Despite the fact Roberto Martinez's men, for some weird reason, have not done back-to-back wins in the Premier League, this was a very noteworthy capitulation and could serve as a warning as to what is going to be ahead and the omens are already not looking good, all of which is a great shame, considering our six year stay in the Barclays Premier League.

Everton narrowly lost by a single goal to nil at Old Trafford, showing some fierce resistance to the 'red machine' before finally succumbing to Javier Hernandez.

With so much at stake and with Everton having nothing to play for as well as Wigan's poor form against the Toffees, this will be as stern a test as Wigan have ever faced and predicting the score is a tough assignment, though I feel Wigan are more than capable of stealing a point in this game, but if it is enough to keep the Latics in the league remains to be seen.

Maynor Figueroa returns in place of Steve Gohouri, who had a difficult time at the Stadium Of Light, so he will add some steel to the left hand side of play in Saturday's game.

ROB'S PREDICTION
================

Well this is really the make or break period for Wigan Athletic at the D.W. Stadium - Roberto Martinez is so confident of survival apparently that he's already prepared for next season - a foolish notion, one might think, but then it is Tribal Football, who is to be taken with a pinch of salt. The sad thing about all of this is that as an attacking side, Wigan are not a bad side, its just the leaky defence which wasn't really sorted out from last season, though admittedly it is slightly better. Which isn't saying much in all honesty. Against a difficult Everton side, this will be an extremely tough test, though Wigan will battle and battle so I presume that perhaps a draw might be on the cards here, with no great confidence.
Wigan Athletic 1-1 Everton FC

ROB'S OTHER PREDICTIONS
=======================

Blackburn Vs Bolton - Steve Kean would be quite keen on this fixture as he would have been on others - Bolton are buoyed by their brilliant home win over Arsenal but were poor against Fulham at Craven Cottage. Bolton don't really have much left now to play for and with Blackburn battling for their lives, I suspect it might be a rare home win for Steve Kean's men, which won't help Wigan's cause at all.
Blackburn Rovers 1-0 Bolton Wanderers

Blackpool Vs Stoke City - I think this is a very difficult game to call, in all honesty. Blackpool always score in their home games during the course of the season, but this is a massive game. I see Blackpool getting a point out of this game and wonder if it might be a 1-1 draw.
Blackpool 1-1 Stoke City

Sunderland Vs Fulham - Sunderland were on a poor run and then we all know what happened, but we all know about Fulham and their resistance and that they are a tough team to break down. I see a 1-1 draw here.
Sunderland 1-1 Fulham

West Brom Vs Aston Villa - I suspect that with Roy's record having gone that Aston Villa could pose a difficult test for Hodgson's men. I think an away win is on the cards.
West Bromwich Albion 0-1 Aston Villa

Chelsea Vs Tottenham - Manchester City to grab fourth and Tottenham to lose ground at Chelsea - Chelsea's blip is over so I see a routine home win for Carlo Ancelotti's men - they need it!
Chelsea 1-0 Tottenham Hotspur

Birmingham Vs Wolves - Birmingham need to win this for Premier League survival. However, Wolves are desperate and Wolves came within a whisker of getting an away win on their last visit to St. Andrews. Tough one to say but I think Birmingham might just prevail.
Birmingham 1-0 Wolverhampton Wanderers

Liverpool Vs Newcastle - This is much easier to predict - Liverpool have improved in leaps and bounds under Kenny Dalglish and Newcastle are a bit of an enigma. However, Anfield is a very difficult place to go and get a result so I suspect it will be Liverpool's day.
Liverpool 3-0 Newcastle United

Arsenal Vs Manchester United - What a scorcher! Manchester United are a few points clear, but a win here would put the nerves on Manchester United and I think that Arsenal will beat Manchester United, if not to add more interest to who will lift the title at the end of the season.
Arsenal 1-0 Manchester United

Man City Vs West Ham - Is there are relenting for the suffering teams at the bottom of the table? Then again, the tables do turn and as bad as things are for the teams in the mix, things will get better as it will for us. However in terms of this game, Manchester City will see this as a great opportunity to put daylight between themselves and Tottenham. Not too sure that it will happen and West Ham United could leave this ground with a vital point, as they desperately crave salvation.
Manchester City 1-1 West Ham United

ROB'S FINAL THOUGHTS

Wins for Wigan and Huddersfield are the order of the day!

You have a shot since we are pretty much set for the end of the season, but we are having our usual strong finish to the season and with Cahill and Arteta in line to return I see a 2-0 to the toffees
