What The Bosses Said - Villa 1-1 Latics

Following yesterdays 1-1 draw between Aston Villa and Wigan Athletic both bosses spoke to the press, lets take a look at what they said:

Latics boss Roberto Martinez: "I think that is a credit to the performance of the players because coming away from home, playing against a side that haven't got any real need of points, it's just a desire to get points - and I think we matched that really well.

'We scored a very good goal from open play which is always the hardest thing in football and then disappointingly we conceded from a set-play.

'But overall, we showed great concentration, great maturity and it is another point against very difficult opposition.'

Villa acting boss Gary McAllister: 'It was a frustrating point because the performance wasn't up to the level the players set and as a staff we set.

'They dipped below what we feel is the norm.'

"Wigan are fighting for their lives though and they made it difficult for us"
