Ali Al-Habsi, Latics Man of the Match v Villa




Wigan Athletic goalkeeper, Ali Al-Habsi has been voted the Latics man of the match for his performance in Saturdays 1-1 draw away at Villa Park.

The Oman international was beaten by a well struck Ashley Young free-kick from 20 yards, Ali was unfortunate because he did get his hand to it but just couldn`t keep it out, that was the only time that Villa got anything past him all day and he produced two great saves, one from an Emile Heskey point blank effort in the first half and a one on one with Darren Bent in the second half.

Great stuff once again from Ali, for the record the voting was:

Ali Al-Habsi - 44%
Charles N`Zogbia - 24%
Ben Watson - 20%
