Ali Al-Habsi, Latics Man of the Match v Villa

Ali Al-Habsi, Latics Man of the Match v Villa

Wigan Athletic goalkeeper, Ali Al-Habsi has been voted the Latics man of the match for his performance in Saturdays 1-1 draw away at Villa Park.

The Oman international was beaten by a well struck Ashley Young free-kick from 20 yards, Ali was unfortunate because he did get his hand to it but just couldn`t keep it out, that was the only time that Villa got anything past him all day and he produced two great saves, one from an Emile Heskey point blank effort in the first half and a one on one with Darren Bent in the second half.

Great stuff once again from Ali, for the record the voting was:

Ali Al-Habsi - 44%
Charles N`Zogbia - 24%
Ben Watson - 20%

The new poll is available to vote in on the right side of this page, to participate simply access the poll, select your option and then hit the submit button, it`s that easy.

Don`t forget voting is also taking place for the Vital Latics Player of the Season Award. To vote just click here then enter the player of your choice and your name or username, also place Player of the Season 2010/11 in the email subject or email wigan@vitalfootball.co.uk at your leisure
