'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Ali Urges Fans

Wigan Athletic keeper Ali Al-Habsi is urging the Latics fans to turn out in their numbers on Sunday and really get behind the team for the vital bottom of the table clash against West Ham United, the result of the game could very well determine the outcome of the season for the Latics.

Al-Habsi says the fans need to know that they can make a difference and with the right support he is sure that the Latics can beat West Ham and preserve their Premier League status.

Speaking to Latics Player Ali said: 'I hope they (supporters) will be there in big numbers next week because we will need all of their help against West Ham.

'I would love them to fill the stadium - this is their time to really make a difference.

'It's a huge game for us and we'll need them behind us, because if we can beat West Ham, I think we'll stay up.

'It is the biggest game of the season, and the fans need to know that they can make the difference between us winning and losing.

'We are playing fantastic football - not just at the moment but for most of the season.

'We have been unlucky at times not to get the results we have deserved, but we are not out of yet.

'The team, the manager, the fans, everyone associated with Wigan Athletic deserve to be playing in this league and we will do everything we can to make it happen.'
