Wigan Athletic - Fans Believe We Are Staying Up

As we move closer to the final game of the season, even though we are still in the bottom three, the majority of Latics fans are optimistic enough to believe we will get out of trouble by getting the 'right' result at the Britannia Stadium on Sunday when we face Stoke City, the last poll on Vital Wigan says so anyway.

Following last weekends dramatic win against West Ham, the Latics faithful are still on a massive high, a superb performance from Charles N'Zogbia helped ensure the three points came our way and we now have a fighting chance of survival.

It is very tense and there are too many permutations to have any certainty of what result will ensure safety, so for the five teams that are vying to keep clear of the last two relegation spots it has to be a win at all costs in the hope that 'other' results go their way.

The voters on our last poll are confident that the Latics will survive and I hope, pray and beg that they are right, for the record the voting was:

Are we staying up?

Yes - 79%
No - 21%

The new poll is available on the right side of this page.

We are staying up!
