Pablo Piatti To Be Latics First Summer Signing?

Wigan Athletic are looking to sign Almeria winger Pablo Piatti, a deal for the Argentine youngster looks likely as the Spanish club have been relegated from La Liga and need to reduce their wage bill.

It is being reported in several sources that the Latics have bid £3 million for the 22 year old who has been outstanding this season despite Almeria`s relegation, scoring 8 goals from 34 appearances.

The 5` 4" player joined Almeria from Estudiantes of Argentina in 2008 and he has attracted a lot of interest since, Premier League club Everton were quoted £38 million last year when they made an enquiry!

Nope the Media made this wrong, Everton Enquired and Almeria said 38 mil because thats his release clause, its basically saying he dont want to sell him but we have no choice if you pay 38 mil.

ive had him at wigan in fifa 11 on ps3, i like him, other then that ive not seen him play. can see him being a realistic target, hes our type of player, just been relegated so value will be good, but if he that good im sure there will be plenty competition to fend off
