Big Stevie G Signs On For Another Two Seasons

Wigan Athletic defender Steve Gohouri has extended his deal at the Latics for another two years Sky Sports are reporting.

Signed on a free transfer in January 2010 from Borussia Mönchengladbach the Ivory Coast international has gone on to be a valued squad member at the DW Stadium and he plays with his heart on his sleeve.

Gohouri`s agent Rui Alves certainly seems pleased with the deal, he told Sky Sports: ' We are delighted with Steve's new contract with Wigan.

'Roberto and Mr Whelan are fantastic people and this team deserve to be in the Premier League.

'Steve had some contacts to go somewhere else next season, but we decided to stay here and make this club a very good club, with some good signings they can have a great season next year.'

Nice one big Stevie G

I love watching this guy bomb forward from the back. Lacks a bit of defencive awareness but that can get better.
