Everton Set To Enter Charlie Bid?

Everton Set To Enter Charlie Bid?

The Daily Mirror are reporting that Everton are set to sell half their team in order to join the bidding war for Latics star Charles N`Zogbia, don`t bother Moyesy.

With Charlies aspirations set on a club that challenges for honours, Everton are not likely to be one of his choices, in the bottom half of the table for most of last season the Goodison Park outfit looked anything but contenders, a good run of results in the second half saw them finish in the mid-table comfort zone but there was nothing there to suggest they are ready to step it up next season.

Everton are famously run on a very tight budget and Moyes has worked wonders with them but Charlie, if indeed he is to leave the Latics, will move on to a club with real ambitions to challenge and the cash to match.

We could most definetly afford the 9mil. We will most definetly have 10mil to spend (which we could use on N'Zogbia), and if we need more Bilyaletdinov and Heitinga can be sold to generate a further 15mil. And then if need be Rodwell can be sacrificed (heavily over rated, and have a younger, more talented Rodwell on the way) but that is worst case. As for N'Zogbia, would be a good signing, Baines + N'Zogbia on the left hand side would be deadly. As for his chances of actually coming, well sure it could happen, as I dont see the top 4 chasing him, Liverpool have cooled their interest. Spurs have arguably the best player at that position in the league. Villa dont have a manager so doubt they would be in for him just yet. Leaves Everton and the Toon
