Villa Bid £9 Million For N'Zogbia

The Daily Mirror are today (Thursday) reporting that the official bid submitted last Friday from Aston Villa for Wigan Athletic attacking midfield man Charles N'Zogbia, which was exclusively revealed on Vital Latics last weekend, is for £9 million.

Villa boss Alex McLeish had a similar bid accepted by the Latics for N'Zogbia last August whilst he was in charge of Birmingham only for the player to turn down the move.

With the transfer window officially opening tomorrow (Friday) there could be a flurry of activity as teams vie for signature of Charles N'Zogbia, with the fee quoted at less than £10 million will undoubtedly be the bargain of the summer.

£9 mil will be robbery

Quality player an ideal replacement for Young - let's hope it gets accepted
Valiant Villan™
Don't sell him for so low fellas! This is the age of hyper inflated transfer fees, why should you guys sell at the right price?
JT_daniel
Is this 4 real? How official is this? When will it be "just in" on SSN? We have to get him and for £9m, yes I have to say it is robbery, but I'll be delighted.

Only 12 mths on his contract left = reduced fee..just as with Ashley Young...IF £9m was accepted in January, he should be worth less now? Ashley came down from £25m to £16m + add ons..Personally I think £10m seems reasonable in the circumstances..Wigan fans obviously rate him highly
krfeskivilla
£9mil that's excellent bit of biz. I personally think he's better than Young so this is a great bargain!

robbery worbo? Too much for us to pay, or too little for you get take do you mean!? Transfer window opens on the night of the last day of the season according to PL rule book btw.
The Fear
Too little to take...obviously.
Thorpyness
to be fair 9 mil with 1 year i think we should be happy or at least hold out for 10. if he had 3 years plus on him we would make 15/20 mil easy
Mike Leigh
the window has been open for a month so i cant see how this would have affected this transfer anyway? tomorrow it opens internatially so teams can buy from abroad, but the prem to prem transfers opened on the 1st june!!

£9million ? What a joke!
lathamwafc
Nothing less then £15 mill should be considered, even if there's only a year left. We turned down £12 mill from Newcastle in Jan. and that should set the standard minimum figure

seems a bit of confusion re: transfer window. Must get it re-clarified. I did read through the PL rules last year but it was so boring I don't intend to do it again! lol Think it is now that the international stuff can go through as well.
The Fear
Do the bizzo Randy!!!! Nice replacement for Young and still got some pennies left over.
