Latics Make Adrian Colunga Bid

Wigan Athletic are once again being linked with a move for Getafe striker Adrian Colunga with several newspapers claiming that the Latics have made a £3million bid.

Early last summer it was speculated that Colunga would make his way to the DW Stadium following a successful loan spell at Real Zaragoza from Recreativo de Huelva that saw the 26 year old score 7 goals in 16 appearances, but despite a confirmed interest from the Latics, Colunga instead signed for La Liga club Getafe on the 6th August.

Now it would appear that the 5` 7" striker is back on the wanted list with reports stating that Latics boss Roberto Martinez has made an official bid, but Getafe President Angel Torres doesn`t seem too keen and has made remarks indicating that he will be reluctant to sell his star striker.

Torres said: "I don't want him to go, but the decision rests with our coach Luis Garcia"

"Colunga could score 12 or 14 goals this season and be very valuable to the club."

Old Story...why go back in for someone that didn't want to come here, and especially if after 12 months somewhere else he's not got other options, doesn't mark him out as having developed, and has undermined any potential.
