Wigan Athletic - Steven Caldwell Joins Birmingham




Wigan Athletic defender Steven Caldwell has joined Championship club Birmingham City on a free transfer, signing a two year deal at St. Andrews.

Signed last summer after he was released by Burnley following their relegation from the Premier League, Steven Caldwell, the older brother of Latics skipper Gary, made 11 appearances for Roberto Martinez`s side and also rekindled his Scotland career.

First team chances became limited as the season wore on and it was no surprise when the Latics announced that they weren`t going to renew his contract considering the options available for his position at the club.
