Latics Forgotten Man Set For Spain Return

Wigan Athletic forgotten man Antonio Amaya looks set to leave the Latics with La Liga side Real Betis reportedly keen on the big central defender.

Sky Sports are reporting that Betis have tabled a 300,000 (263k) offer for Amaya, roughly the same fee that Latics paid for his services two summers ago when he joined from Rayo Vallecano.

With no league appearances and only featuring in cup games, Amaya drifted out of the limelight and was stuck playing reserve team football, he joined his former club Vallecano last season on loan and it would appear that the 28 year old has no future at the DW Stadium
