Latics Look To Snodgrass

Latics Look To Snodgrass

The Sun claims that Wigan Athletic have identified Charles N'Zogbia's replacement in Leeds United and Scotland winger Robert Snodgrass.

With N'Zogbia close to a move to Aston Villa, Martinez has been busy looking at possible replacements and Snodgrass could be a logical choice, he can play on either side of the field and also as a striker, at 23 he is young and desperate to show his qualities in the country's top division.

Snodgrass has made 125 appearances at Leeds since joining from Livingston in 2008, scoring 22 goals, he is available for around £4 million, Norwich are believed to have had a £3.5 milion bid rejected in June.

Leeds have turned down a bid of £5million from Norwich and have valued him at £8 million.

Wigan 1-2 Bradford Match Report

Latics dropped to a deserved 1-2 defeat at the hands of Bradford, our first loss at home in the league since March. It was an off-day, defence looked shaky from the off and once Nick Powell went off injured, we never really threatened to score. We are back at the DW on Tuesday against Doncaster Rovers, an opportunity to get back on track.

Paul Cook named an unchanged side from our last league game, with Michael Jacobs returning to the starting line-up.
