Latics Eye Up Max Gradel

Latics Eye Up Max Gradel

Wigan Athletic are being linked with a move for Leeds United striker Max Gradel according to the Daily Mirror.

The 23 year old Ivory Coast international scored 18 goals last season for Leeds and can play either as a wide man or striker, he is comfortable on both sides of the pitch, he would suit Latics style of play but with Fulham, Stoke, Newcastle, QPR, Swansea, Hamburg, Lille and Paris St. Germain also interested there is strong competition.

Gradel himself appears to want to stay at Leeds, he is quoted as saying: "Leeds is a massive club. It is the best I have been at and to play at a club like this is a dream.

"I want to keep playing at this club for a long time to come.

"There are a lot of positives to be taken from last season and now we are ready to go again. We deserve to be in the Premier League."

We have our very own "Ivorian" to help entice him.....I'm sure big Steve can be quite persuasive.
