Swansea v Latics Tickets Due To Go On Sale

Tickets for the first away trip of the new season are set to go on sale from next Tuesday, 9th August, to season ticket holders.

The game against Roberto Martinez's former club Swansea City is an eagerly awaited clash. The match will have plenty of spice if last season's Carling Cup tie between the two clubs at the DW Stadium is anything to go by, there were banners proclaiming Bobby to be a Judas figure, amongst other things, so the Swansea supporters will undoubtedly make it a hostile occasion for the Latics at the Liberty Stadium.

This game will also mark the first time a Premier League match has been played outside of England since the inauguration of the league in 1993, of course football existed before this and Swansea were a top flight club back in the 1980's, but there will still be significant interest in the match from a historical point of view.

So if you want to cheer the lads on in deepest Wales and be a part of a little piece of history then get yourself a ticket for Swansea City v Wigan Athletic, Liberty Stadium, kick-off 3pm, Saturday 20th August. Prices:

Adults . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .35.00
Over 65 years . . . . . . . . . . . .17.50

I posted a message on the Swansea forum asking about Martinez and it seems that more are for him than against him. Have a look http://www.swansea.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=13964&posts=21
