A new feature on Vital Latics throughout this season, as suggested by Vital member Stan_disher, will hopefully be getting the views of a 'few' of the opposition fans on Wigan Athletic, so with a visit to the DW Stadium by Norwich City due tomorrow, the first port of call this season was, you guessed it, Norwich.
So with seven simple questions posed lets take a look at the responses:
1. How long have you supported Norwich City?
2. Who is your best player?
3. Who do you think is Wigan's best player?
4. What is your perception of Wigan Athletic?
5. What do you think the score will be?
6. What do you think will be your final league position?
7. What do you think will be Wigan's final league position?
Nathan_NCFC:
1. 8 years.
2. Judging from last season, it's hard to call. Russel Martin, Wes Hoolahan and Grant Holt were all fantastic nearly every time they played. I wouldn't be able to call just one. Although Russel Martin played every single minute of our season last year. I have yet to see much of any of our new signings play so this is going by last years performances.
3. Haven't seen a huge amount of Wigan but I have liked McCarthy each time I have seen him.
4. An established, mid table Premier League side who does not get a great following.
5. I know Wigan will not want a repeat of last years opening game, so... realistically, probably a draw, I'll go with 1-1 but hoping for a comfortable Norwich win!
6. 15th
7. 14th

1 47 years
2 As Nathan, Norwich play as a team without individual stars. If pushed, Holt, Hoolahan, R Martin, Barnett, Teirney plus others all have to be in with a shout.
3 Wigan also play as a team; nobody stands out.
4 Remarkable survival capacity.
5 Wigan 1-2 Norwich (90th minute strike)
6 14th
7 16th
RATPACK
1 35 years time go so quick!
2 Im going for wes hoolahan. When he`s on his game he can be class and turn a game in an instant.
3 I would have said N'Zogbia but since he has gone got to be McCarthy for me also. (glad he could be out Saturday).
4 Wigan have surprised me what they have got is fighting spirit.
5 0-2 to the canaries (would I put anything else?)
6 5th I'm a believer.
7 Anywhere you want boys.
Good luck for the coming season Wigan.
yellow belly
1 . 32 years
2. Grant Holt - a hero all over the pitch
3. I would have said N'Zogbia as well ... don't know how much yoy will miss him
4. A club that seems to live in the shadow of the rugby club
5. Wigan 1 Norwich 2
6. 14th
7. 15th. I wouldn`t want to see Wigan go down!
Thank you very much for your time and efforts, nice to see not one of you have us down for relegation, have a safe journey up and back and good luck for the rest of the season. ![]()
