Wigan Athletic Confirm Nouah Dicko Deal

Wigan Athletic have officially announced the signing of former RC Strasbourg winger Nouah Dicko on a three year contract.

The 19 year-old, who is a free agent after his French club encountered financial difficulties and were relegated to the third tier of French football, has impressed on trial at Wigan and featured in both pre-season matches against Preston North End and Villarreal. He signs a three year deal.

Roberto Martinez sees him as a player for the future, he said: "Nouah is a young prospect who came to our attention through our scouting network and he has impressed us whilst on trial. The unfortunate situation regarding his former club Strasbourg has meant that he has become available on the market and we feel he has the potential to develop. I am delighted he has agreed to join us.'

Possessing lightning pace, Dicko, said he is thrilled to be joining the club: "I am so happy to join the club and to be given this chance. I need to keep working hard now and try and push for a regular place in the first team squad."
