Fixture Change - Latics v QPR

The Wigan Athletic v QPR fixture, scheduled for 3pm on Saturday 27th August 2011 has been moved forward to a 12:30 kick-off on the same day.

The game start time has been changed to allow supporters who follow both the Latics and the Wigan Warriors Rugby League team, to watch the Premier League tie and the Challenge Cup final, which the Warriors have qualified for.

Speaking about the change and thanking QPR for their cooperation Latics club owner, Dave Whelan said: 'This will be a big day for the town with the two major sporting clubs in action, and we feel it is appropriate that we did everything we could for fans who follow both teams to be satisfied.

'We are grateful to Queens Park Rangers who have agreed to make the switch, and thank them for their cooperation on this matter.'

Wigan 1-2 Bradford Match Report

Latics dropped to a deserved 1-2 defeat at the hands of Bradford, our first loss at home in the league since March. It was an off-day, defence looked shaky from the off and once Nick Powell went off injured, we never really threatened to score. We are back at the DW on Tuesday against Doncaster Rovers, an opportunity to get back on track.

Paul Cook named an unchanged side from our last league game, with Michael Jacobs returning to the starting line-up.
