Fans Want Hugo Return

Fans Want Hugo Return

Wigan Athletic fans are hoping that Hugo Rodallega will be leading the line when the Latics take on Swansea City in tomorrow's Premier League clash at the Liberty Stadium

Vital Wigan member MagicMartinez suggested we ran a poll to see who the supporters wanted to see upfront this weekend, no surprise really to see our Colombia international and the Latics all time Premier League record goal scorer come out on top

For the record the voting was:

Hugo Rodallega - 64%
Conor Sammon - 14%
Franco Di Santo - 14%
Callum McManaman - 8%

Hugo in line for a start?

I would certainly like to see Hugo return, preferably to Columbia. Cant understand why he is regarded in such esteem by fans. He misses more chances than any striker we have ever had, his shooting and heading is woeful (apart from the goal against Stoke) He couldnt trap a bag of cement. The ball gets away from him more often than not. For his agent to say Arsenal and Everton amongst others is a joke. The fact is, Wigan have not had one single offer for him or even an enquiry. I really hope he goes to Swansea and gets a hat-trick, but honestly, has anyone seen anything to suggest that might happen? If Roberto thinks for one minute that the players from last season, less Cleverley and Nzogbia, can survive this season, he is deluded. Every team has strengthened apart from us, what is going on?

I'm surprised at the outcome I must admit. I thought it would be more along the lines of Hugo 35%, Di Santo 32%, Sammon 30% & McManaman 3%. Very interesting
