Jordi Gomez Wins Latic Man Of The Match Vote

Jordi Gomez has been voted the Vital Wigan man of the match for his performance in last Saturdays draw away at his former club Swansea.

The midfield man had a cracking strike mid way through the second half which thundered against the post, later in the game he was upended in the area by Swansea defender Ashley Williams to earn the Latics a penalty, unfortunately the spot kick was saved.

For the record the voting was:

Jordi Gomez - 47%
Ronnie Stam - 24%
Maynor Figueroa - 12%

I didnt think anyone excelled on Saturday, but we got a point, undefeated so far this season and happily languishing in midtable obscurity, long may it continue

Didn't think I'd see the day Gomez is voted Man of the Match this season after all the negative comments about him over the summer. Good to see he stepped up to the plate rather :)
