Vote For Your Latics Man Of The Match v QPR

Vote For Your Latics Man Of The Match v QPR

Wigan Athletic have had their best ever start to a Premier League campaign, unbeaten after three games and five points already in the bag, though in the first two games of the season the Latics stuttered somewhat, in yesterdays 2-0 win over QPR they were comfortable for the entire game.

The team seemed to click and there was some slick passing, great movement and good defending, that was just from Boycey!

Ali was assured in between the posts and he did everything that he was called upon to do. The back for looked solid, Boyce had a couple of great runs with the ball at his feet and Lopez looked at ease stepping in for the injured Alcaraz.

The midfield was a joy to watch at times, Gomez probably played his best ever game in a Latics shirt, his vision was excellent, he played really intelligent football, his link up play was very good and his passing spot on, Watson once again stood out, he is growing into a top class Premier League midfield man.

Up front Di Santo took the plaudits at the game, rightly so, he put in a fantastic shift, scored two great goals and looked all the part the player we knew he could be, but for me the man of the match was Hugo Rodallega, I thought he was excellent for the full 90 minutes, his running at the QPR defence had then frightened to death and he gave the team a balance that had been missing in the previous two games.

So it's Hugo for me, but who is your Latics man of the match? To vote simply access the poll on the right side of this page, select your option from the list and then hit the submit button, it's that easy

Hard to pick because I few played really well, especially Franco, but I just thought that Hugo's return to the starting line-up brought an extra dimension to the team
